This was the second week in a row that I did 2 boot camps for the week. I do the one at my gym on Monday and one at the Naperville gym on Wednesday. If there was a 3rd class on a Friday or Saturday, I would probably do that too, but M & W are the only days offered that I can make the class.
First off I want to mention that Luna bars are my FAVORITE pre-class fuel. They leave me feeling full but light and energized for the class!
The boot camps are definitely different in style. Monday night class always leaves me exhausted and focuses a lot on strength training. Wednesday night's class leaves me more energized and is more fast paced, never focusing on one type of exercise very long. It's fun too because we run around the gym and up the stairs with dumbbells, throughout the class, which is a challenge by the end! Both classes are an hour long.
Now, a side note...as many of you know, people irritate me a whole lot. There is one man in the Wednesday night class who I want. to. punch. in. the. face. Before the instructor shows to class, he's jogging in place. Then whatever exercise the instructor has us do, he has to do it 10 times harder. Jumping jacks? Let me add 10 pound dumbbells! Push ups? Let me do them with one arm! What the hell are you trying to prove? This is a small class at a local gym. Ugh, maybe you have to be there to see what I'm talking about. I just find myself rolling my eyes every 5 minutes.
All the gloomy weather and rain lately has been making me feel very crabby, unmotivated and depressed. I'm excited that we're going to have sun and a warm up this weekend!!! I will definitely be logging some miles outside.
